Would sitting 12′ away from a 60″ 1080P Rear Projection TV be a good distance?
Room is 15′ x 15′ but I figure with the width of the tv and couch I would have around 12′ distance from tv.

I have a 65″ and I sit at that same distance.
12′ is too far back try 10′ (lol) I have a 61″ 1080p and sit about 12′ feet away, at first it seems real close but after a couple of weeks you get use to it and wish you had a 71″. So no 12′ is not to close.
