Old technology.
Picture quality,even the new one’s are getting cheaper now.LCD’S and plasma are getting better all the time.And if its sport you want to watch get a plasma.
Probably because of the new technology TV’s that are out on the market like LCD, DLP, SXRD, Plasma and Lcos type. The old rear projection type, which I assume you are referring to, use 3 big projection tubes for the Red, Blue and Green. Very difficult to keep converged.
the picture quality is lower than many others. also you cannot see the picture very well unloess you are sitting directly in front of the tv.—go PLASMA!!!
