What would cause a (Toshiba) Rear-projection TV “Twitch” on SD Programming (Moxi Set-top box)?
I have a Toshiba 56X81 Rear Proj TV that has started “twitching”, but only on standard definition television. HD and DVD seems unaffected. I think it’s the cable box, but this TV has had problems in the past with the input board. It’s an expensive TV that i got for cheap but it is very dear to me, the roommate and the cat. I don’t want to replace it but don’t have the skill to troubleshoot the electronics. The set-top box is Moxi. Anyone had similar issues?

Have you tried doing a soft or hard boot of your moxi DVR?
Soft boot:
There is a button on the bottom right hand corner of the front of moxi box. The button is labelled, “power”. Hold down this button for 10 seconds. The TV will reboot itself. The process takes about 5 minutes. Note the box will flash a bunch of random numbers. You will know when process is complete when the correct time is displayed on moxi box.
Hard boot:
Unplug the electric from the moxi box. Wait one minute and plug back in. Moxi will reboot and this takes about 10 minutes.
The other suggestion I have is to change your video hook-up. For example, if yor are using component cables (red, blue, green), try using DVI hook-up. If you are using DVI, try using component cables. I would not suggest using the DVI hook-up cuz many people have had problems with the moxi box and this hook-up.
