I’ve got a 52″ rear projection HDTV currently, and i love it, but i want a LCD so i don’t have to worry about Burn-In when i play my xbox or hook it to my computer. When do you think prices will come down on these tvs to the point i could find one for about 1500?

I want to upgrade my 27″ Magnavox tube t.v. to a LCD t.v.. I want to upgrade because i play a lot of games, currently Xbox 360, nes and soon the wii and PS3. So i want to have a TV that i can play my games in the highest resolution that the systems support. I am looking for a LCD because i don’t have money for a plasma, and i don’t like rear projections. So only LCD’s. I was looking at the samsung 26″ LCD TV which i think is the xbox 360′s signature TV. So can you please tell me the best TV i can get in my price limit that plays all of the resolutions my games can play. Thank you!

I have a Samsung 61″ rear projection TV and now I would like to add a surround sound system, should I stick to a Samsung system or is it ok to use other brands? I need a complete system (including DVD player)

I am looking to but a new tv for my family. We currently have a 63 inch projection TV and some colors don’t show up anymore, it also has giant blue and yellow circles randomly moving around the screen. It is really bad. So I want a 1080p 55 or more inch LCD TV. But they are all way too expensive, is there anywhere I can go to get one for under 2000?
I found a 52 inch for 1500 at costco.com but can i get anything bigger for less than 500 dollars more

So, I’ve been working on some spec to try to find a good deal on a TV. I have a few requirements, though…
- The TV must be 1080p (and actually display at 1920×1080 or 1920×1200)
- At least 42 inches, though bigger is better.
- As cheap as possible, but no sceptre brand unless they’ve gotten better since I bought my monitor.
Size, weight, type of TV, all not concerns. I have no preference on the technology. A 1080p projector, rear projection TV, LCD or Plasma TV would all work just as well for me.
My question is, where can I go to compare deals and browse TVs? I’ve tried best buy’s website, walmart’s website, newegg, circuit city, ABC Warehouse and others. Is there a de facto website to go to? Does anyone know of any phenomenally good deals? I’m not above used TVs (that work) from craigslist, etc or reliable refurbs/open box.
