Best Projection TVs

I have a Sony 1080p WEGA Projection TV, and I want to connect an HDMI cable between the TV and my PS3. I go to the display settings and try to use HDMI, but the screen goes blank and returns to the standard settings. I know I probably have to turn on the HDMI cable, but I have no idea how to do this. I’m presuming it is through the TV. Does anyone know how, and maybe specifically with Sony TV’s?

I have a projection screen GE tv that has some issues. Recently, the remote doesnt work all the time, but it would work if you messed with the buttons on the front of the tv. The power and channel buttons on the front of the TV don’t work either. Today the tv wont turn on at all. Picture and everything was fine so I am trying to repair the tv. Does anyone have an idea of what may be wrong, or where the remote sensor is?
