Hi,
im hoping that my 360 dosen’t burn my projection screen, but i need some ideas to keep my projection tv as safe so it wont cause any burn of nay sort,
This is a pretty old tv, about 5 years old and play only on 480p HD, but hey it’s better than nothing.
Will i have to switch the color setting around to get the proper immage that i need to play my xbox?

It used to work great but if you turned it off and then back on the picture wouldn’t come on. Sound works and TV tries rebooting itself every 30-45 seconds. Now TV never shows a picture, has sound from the TV and tries to reboot itself over and over. Anyone have any suggestions? I’ve heard a bad lamp? Thanks

I have a Toshiba 56X81 Rear Proj TV that has started “twitching”, but only on standard definition television. HD and DVD seems unaffected. I think it’s the cable box, but this TV has had problems in the past with the input board. It’s an expensive TV that i got for cheap but it is very dear to me, the roommate and the cat. I don’t want to replace it but don’t have the skill to troubleshoot the electronics. The set-top box is Moxi. Anyone had similar issues?

The protective screen (which I don’t care that much about), and the Fresnal and Lenticular Screen got cracked on my Toshiba 42H83 Rear-Projection TV.
I called Toshiba, they sent me to distibutors who sell the fresnal and lenticuar for more than $250… was wndering if any Fresnal and Lenticular screen could be used, and would that be cheaper?
Also, as an aside if anyone knows, the TV is on warranty with Best Buy, but they say they won’t fix broken screens, I did not see that in the warranty info… any way I can get them to stil fix it?
Thanks

I have been looking at this TV for awhile. I am compelled to purchase the Toshiba 42HP86 because it is on sale for $1299.99. But I have also been looking at the Sony Grand Wega 46″ LCD Projection for $1248.99. I am just looking for a cheap TV for my XBOX 360 and DVDs. I dont really care about surround sound I just want a decent TV. Are these bad purchases or not?

im shopping for a new big tv and i found a couple at good prices i think…..so im looking for suggestions
the Toshiba is 65″ DLP rear projection for $1500
the Mitsubishi is also 65″ but is a regular DLP for $1900
theyre both 1080p and most everything else si the same too…basically one is rear projction and one isnt……im just wondering if the extra 400 dollars is worth it for the regular dlp instead of projection…because ive heard about all the problems with the lamps in the projection tvs.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated….or if anyone knows where i can get a better deal for a huge newer tv for the price?? Thanks

I plugged my surround sound system into the 3.5mm output jack of the TV and it worked and still works perfectly, however now when I unplug the separate surround sound system the TV’s own speakers don’t work at all – any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks
Thanks
Cheers Ray, that may just be the case.. although I only plugged it in for the first time a few days ago, it’s an old tv so may have stickiness lol
Thanks!
