big screen projection tv does not turn on. Is this fixable?

As soon as I push the button to turn on the t.v the green light comes on then I hear a clicking noise and then it shuts off before the picture comes up.

panasonic lcd rear projection 60 inch tv..model #PT-60LCX64..Is this a good tv? Any problems? Lamp problems?

I bought the tv back in march of 06, and I have not had any problems with it yet. But I have heard people are having lamp issues with it, so I am worried that I may have the same problems. I bought it for 2500, and was wondering if you guys think it was a good deal at the time. I bought it at costco and it came with the stand. I am curious also if that model was the correct one for the time I bought it. Which was march of 06. I hear people saying that they bought there in mid 05, and was wondering if I bought a year old model that I payed the full price for. Anyone who has either bought this tv or has info on it info on it, I would like your thoughts..Thank you very much

Has anyone tried this before?

Has anyone tried connecting their cable box to their receiver and upconverting the video to 1080p? I want to know how standard definition looks when upconverted? How does the HD channels look? I have a couple of 1080p HDTV’s and am curious as to how this would look. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Please answer only if you have done this before.

Just as a reference the TV’s I have are:

Sony KDL-52XBR6 (LCD)
Panasonic TH-50PZ80U (Plasma)
Samsung HL-50A650 (Rear Projection)

I really want to know if it is worth doing. I was considering a Yamaha receiver with 3 or 4 HDMI Inputs that upscale to 1080p.

Samsung HL50A650 can’t find reviews. Should I buy warranty? Downsides to this model?

I can’t seem to find any reviews on this TV. Ciccuit City is using it as a warranty replacement for my old RCA 52″ projection piece of crap. The TV is 50″ 1080p, with a 2500:1 contrast ratio. The only downside I see is s slightly lower contrast ratio compared to the 10000:1 I have been seing on other TV’s. I just wish there were some reviews so I could decide whether I should buy the extended warranty 2 Years -$250 and 5 years – $450.

Hitachi 50v500 rear projection hd 720p big screen tv has a red spot in it. Anyone know what this is?

Hey, I bought a hitachi 50v500 projection tv with special lamps. The tv works fine but there is a huge red spot that takes up about 30% of the screen. I have consulted ebay professionals and have gotten mixed answers, so I do not really know whats wrong with my tv. This was the flagship model about 4 or 5 years ago and it is high def 720p. I did purchase this tv about 4 years ago and i have never changed the lamp or bulb, so it does appear like the picture has faded over time. I have a westinghouse that was quite a bit cheaper and newer and it is simply amazing, its a 32 inch and is so clear it can almost be high def in itself without it being actually in high def. I hope I didnt spend$3000 for nothing, cuz right now my $700 tv looks better than the $3,000 one.

Are Rear-Projection HDTVs as good as the LCD or plasma? Is 1366×768 pixels good? How does this rate?

I’m searching for an HD TV to purchase in the lower thousand range. Nothing crazy but want to get my money’s worth. Samsung 46″ and 50″ are what I’m looking and definitely do not want plasma. Is 780p really that bad or is it where technology is at right now and the 1080p and i are ahead of their time?!?

I bought this tv…?

I bought a Sony Bravia 46″ 1080p LCD HDTV w/ 16,000:1 Contrast Ratio, 3 HDMI inputs, and other stuff along with a 5YR Warranty totaling $3,000. Right now I’ve been watching TV on like a 52″ SD Projection TV. Do you think there will be that noticeable of a difference? Did I make a good investment?
I still haven’t brought it home from the store yet…

Honest icpc.tv Review: Is It A Scam? Check this no-rip-off customer report first!

Icpc.tv has been in business since March 2009, and it has already established a reputation as one of the most trusted online-television websites. As with any sales pitch page, some information on Icpc.tv is misleading, but they still deliver more than any other competitive Internet television web-site out there. This Icpc.tv review will analyze the true and the false facts that they advertise.

False facts:

2150 channels – they do, in fact, give you access to over 2300 channels. On some days, however, it’s a matter of whether the icpc.tv channel is live or not. By live I mean online – can you click the link and start using the software without delays. Only about 10% of the 200 channels that I personally checked were down, and about 20% more were somewhat slow. The remaining 70% of the channels worked just fine. This is way above average! Compare that to 85% down channels at isoftwaretv.com and satellitedirect.tv! At least icpc.tv isn’t a scam: they do deliver what they promise. Works anywhere in the world – my business partner reported that some channels are blocked from China. My colleagues from Britain, Peru and Russia informed me that the icpc.tv software worked fine.

True facts:

What channels can you watch? Icpc.tv offers local news channels from 40 metropolis areas in the United States alone. ESPN, MTV, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, FOX, CNN, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, and many other cable or satellite rate channels are just some of icpc.tv’s lineup. Broadcast in HD, it’s a great value for your money! Can you set it up to work with a flat screen TV? Yes! If your computer’s video card has HDMI output, you can run the software full screen for high definition projection straight from icpc.tv Local channels: at least 8 channels per country, 120 different countries in total. No matter what corner of the world you’d like to watch TV from, icpc.tv will offer many languages and native shows to choose from. Some even come in HD quality. Software installation is a breeze. And it doesn’t interfere with any other processes on your computer! With very low power consumption, icpc.tv leaves enough processing speed for you to run other applications simultaneously. There are no monthly charges – you can pay just $44.95 once, and that’s it. Forget the monthly bill from Comcast cable, or Verizon FiOS TV, or DirectTV, or what-have-you! Icpc.tv will charge you once, and once only!

After spending over $300 on a perfect Internet resource with the widest array of channels in appropriate quality, I can attest that Icpc.tv is the most reliable source. Plus, it’s portable – install the software anywhere, and you can watch TV shows 24/7! Order it and see for yourself – if you don’t like it, you will always get your money back within 24 hours. Check Icpc.tv out! See the Resource Box for $20 off savings!
