Hello! I have a Mitsubishi WD52528 52″ Projection TV. When i turned it on just now I get no video. The screen turns a a dark black, but brighter than when it is off. However I still get sound out of the TX, and all the functions seem to be working from what I can tell as well. Whats wrong? How much will this cost to fix? Any trouble shooting idea?
Thanks!

I have a Sony KF-55E200A TV (Rear projection) that uses a Sony XL-2400 lamp. The TV has been purchased recently and has run for around 100-200 hours.
I have recently started hearing a faint buzzing sound from behind the TV and seems to be more intense on the side of the lamp. I first thought it to be the fan sound. Today when I switched off the TV, I realized that the sound was related to the lamp somehow. As soon as I switched off the TV, the sound stopped. The fan was still working. The fans stopped after a couple of minutes.
What can be the cause of the sound? Is it something harmful? How to remove this buzzing sound?

Hello guys,
For years, since I was 12… I’ve been asking my parents to buy me surround sound systems for birthdays and christmas’… they (with no knowledge of true surround sound is) buy me the cheapest thing they can find…. All grown up, I wanna go all out.
I own a 65″ rear projection 1080p hdtv… love it, but not enjoying it without the true surround sound feel. I know nothing about sound at all. I get the concept of the 5.1, subwoofer, back, front, dialogue speakers…. but I wanna know whats the best? I wanna use my surround sound system for my tv watching, my movie watching (blu ray on my ps3) for gaming on my xbox 360, and just FM listening.
I am extremely attracted to floor stand speakers! I just want them! I want something with alot of Bass and will be LOUD! I want the true feeling of being in the movie. I am confused about the recievers and the setup with speakers and the wiring with the tv. I can’t seem to find a package with the reciever and the 5.1 surround sound speakers. I don’t really wanna go no more than $1,000 principle. But I want the best out there! Can anyone point me in that direction? Direct links to awesome packages?

We just bought a new projection Tv and we bought a new surround sound system(with dvd player). We have it hooked up and running, it runs great with DVD’s but we can figure out how to get the sound from the Surround sound to the PS2. the picture comes up but no sound.. The cables for the speakers hook into the dvd player. so what do i do? i hope I didn’t make it too confusing. Thank You for all your help
the volume is controlled by the DVD player. You cant hook up sound to the Tv it only has the yellow and white wire spots and no speakers on the projector, we have a spliter that we have everything plugged into (the white wires and things) so what do we do?

Here is what I have:
I just purchsed a sony kdf-42E2000 rear projection tv.
I have a 7 year old Daewoo DVD player (has only rca jacks).
I just got verizon’s FIOS tv service.
No additional audio or video equipment.
1) I have limited funds to spend (wife ok’d tv, which was under $1000 at the time, and it is a tug of war for anything else)
2) I live in an apartment (it’s quiet and my wife doesn’t want me to blast out the neighbors)
Here are my questions:
a) Verizon box is connected with component cables, should I use hdmi?
b) Will upconverting help me? tv has 720p and 1080i. How much upconversion can the tv handle1080i or 1080p?
c) A nice surround sound system, with dvd player (upconverted?) that sounds good and won’t be too loud for the neighbors.
