my tv (sony rear projection kp41t25) has no picture but has sound. It worked less then 2 hrs ago and there was nothing unusal that happend during that time peroid. There in no light coming from the bulbs and absolutly nothing on the screen. the display does not even work. If anyone has any ideas or even wants to purchase a cheap Tv to work ok or purchase the bulbs. PLEASE HELP?

My KDF-50E2000 will come on just fine. The power light blinks green while the TV starts up and then the screen will come up. I could swear that there is some fading in the picture but I can’t really be sure. After a couple of minutes of being on the TV restarts itself, essentially. The screen goes black and the power light is blinking green once again, and after warming up for about 30 seconds the screen comes back up again like nothing happened. What do I do to fix this? I just got the TV from a friend and he said that the lamp has been recently replaced.

IT’S A DLP PROJECTION T.V. so my aunt and uncle have a sony wega tv (i think not pos. but i know its a sony) KDF42E2000, they replaced the projection lamp with a new one because the old one burnt out and now the t.v. won’t turn on if anybody could please help, thank you

My LCOS projection screen tv is shutting off and coming right back on randomly. It can go for several hours or just a minute before shutting off. When it does this no trouble lights flash and the lamp trouble light is not lit. The only suggestion I got from Sony was to unplug for 5 minutes and ensure that it is plugged directly into outlet. The tv is only a year old and circulation is not restricted and the fan seems to be working fine. Any ideas?

HOW DO I KNOW IF THE LAMP IS NOT WORKING BECAUSE MY T.V. IS A SONY 60INCH XBR AND I GET A YELLOWISH PALE IMAGE. IT LOOKS LIKE THE PROJECTION TV’S FROM THE 1980′S.

I have a Sony KP-46WT510 Projection TV with a crack in the outer plastic screen…A dart, yes a dart, was thrown through the plastic screen and now I need to replace it. I’ve found the part online and now i’m wondering if it’s better to have someone service it or if it is possible to replace myself.

I have a Sony rear-projection tv that I bought off some guy who had posted on Craigslist. And the tv’s great, nice picture, big screen, I think it’s a 52 inch. But, what I didn’t notice when I bought it that the sticker where the model number is usually written is ripped off. That seems kind of suspicious, but it’s been a few months since I bought it and he said he was going to buy a new one and it’s not like we made some kind of an official contract, so ‘returning’ is not an option.

But well here’s what happened: I think I need to change the lamp because the red ‘Lamp’ light flashes everytime I try to turn it on.

Only problem is, I don’t know the model number.

So, if anyone recognizes this tv or has one or knows where to find the model number, I would REALLY appreciate it!!

Push on power button. Power light turns on green, flashes a few times. Then the power light turns red and flashes in a sequence of 3 blinks, which repeats over and again. We replaced the projection lamp, still same. We did power reset, still same. We ensured lamp door cover securely in place, still same. We spray dusted the area, still same. Sometimes the TV WILL turn on if my husband fiddles with the lamp door, and we go through the Setup Menu – Lamp Replacement process. Then the TV will stay on for about 1 to 2″, and blink out again. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
