We just recived a mitsubishi 1996 52″ projection screen tv for free and the only problem with it is the red color. When I go to adjust the blue color I can see the diffrent colors and turn them to white with the cross hairs but there is only a white cross hair when I go to the white and it looks like there is a cresent shape out of the side of the screen view. I am assuming that the projection is off…the people said this happend when they moved it to their basement so I am sure that they didn’t keep it level..
Any ideas on how to fix this??

The TV is still brand new just got it 11/20/07 the XBOX a week before. I hooked it up using the Belkin HDMI cable and it worked for awhile but then I experience what looks like railroad track pixels in the text on my 360. I bought the $50 Microsoft 360 cable and it fixed the problem only now it is happening again. I switched to my DVD player which uses a Rocket HDMI cable and it was doing the same thing. The TV is LCD Rear Projection 1080p with DLP. My guess is something is wrong with the TV because when I use the component cables it plays fine every time or is there something wrong with HDMI they are not telling us.

Is it possible? My daughted knocked something over which hit the TV screen and it cracked. The screen is not Glass, and I can easily take the TV apart and pop the screeen back into place, but now it has a line going up it from the little crack…
Can Replacement screens be ordered? Do you know where I can start looking?
It is a Mitsubishi TS-5053 54″ Rear Projection TV. I shouldn’t have to replace the whole TV. The screen pops in and out…..

My cable service tech confirmed the problem is not with the cable or converter box, nor any of my attached components (DVD, VCR, etc.) The channel display appears briefly on the screen, but no picture. I have had the projection bulbs/lamps cleaned by a technician regularly since 1994. Picture and sound were of good quality until just yesterday……no gradual deterioration. I suspect it is time to “move on” from my big box TV rather than spend $200-$300 (or more) to repair it. Your thoughts and advice would be appreciated.

I know pretty much what Im doing, I’ve worked on countless motherboards on computers and consoles before, as long as I can locate what the problem is I can fix it no problem. First question, I need to find a particular part that is broken on my Mitsubishi 50″ projection television; Model # VS-50605 : Serial # 104321 , the part number as listed on the part itself made in mexico is # 295P421A20 which is basically the double coax input from the motherboard, input A was having coax connection problems and then ultimately just ripped off when the cable guy came in and tried to install on the television. I have googled and checked Mitsubishi.tv’s website for the particular part and the only thing that keeps coming up are the projection lamps which are still in good condition on my set. I need help finding that..
and my second question is, right around the same time that this happened, my tv started getting weird and the picture would intermittently start scrolling the picture vertically as if in a pitch roll. Sometimes it would stop if I banged on the back of the television itself, which made me assume it might be a solder problem, but eventually it just stayed that way and its been off the power grid for 4 months until i got around to looking at it. Could this have something to do with that coax input having been ripped out is what I want to know? and what else should I check? All wires and plugs seemed to be in good shape too. Thanks

this projection tv when turned on has sound and a very dark picture, I opened the back of the tv to have a look, noticed that only the blue and the green projection tubes were working, not the red? everything looks to be in tact with no physical damage. what could I do to correct the problem. Im quite knowledgeable with a volt and ohm meter. what are some things I could check. I thought about the hv splitter, but im unsure if that is my first thing to look at, or even how to check it. please help.
I only have $5 invested into it, I dont mind adding a little to that, The size is perfict for my kids and thier video games! I’m a cheap scate when it comes to spending $700 for a tv that we only see the local news on!!
i have my HD converter box connected to it, ie; regular antenna. I am thinking that the red tube is’nt powering on, when I first turned the tv on only the blue was working, then after a few minites I noticed the green (center) tube satarted to work.

Everything in room reflects off screen including light, people, etc…Makes viewing sometimes impossible especially during the day.Is there a liquid solution or a screen shield that would minimize glare effectively?

I have a mitsubishi projection tv model: WD 52527. It has not been working for a while. Whenever we turn on the tv, it would sound like it is starting…then it would proceed to the flashing of “timer” light…and then it would shut off completely. We’ve also replaced the lamp already. Please assist me on this problem.
The problem started a while after the lamp was replaced. We were able to watch it after the new lamp was replaced but for some reason this problem started.

Hello, I have a mitsubishi ws-65819 rear projection tv and I am trying to find a cheap remote. I know that there are plenty of universal ones out there but I found someone with a remote for a newer mitsubishi TV (WD62927) that they want to sell for cheap. My question is this: Will all mitsubishi remotes work with all mitsubishi televisions? They are similar models, his is just newer and DLP.

it was originally a $10,000 TV but I want to get rid of it and i would like to get something out of it. It works good looks good and is digital ready. thanks
I had it special ordered and it cost $10,000 it says it is a 1080 and it isn’t the kind of tv you can just go pick up at best buy. It doesn’t get much use now that the kinds have been out of the house for a few years. I expect the value to be a lot lower then I bought it for but I don’t want to give it away for free.

Can anyone that owns this projector offer me their opinion on it? Has anyone switched recently from a TV to a Projector? Are you happy you made the switch? How much picture quality do you think I’ll lose, if any?

The Lamp is not lighting, there is no indication of audio. The front panel LEDs, Lamp, Status and Pwr act as if the unit goes straight to power saver standby mode with the pwr LED blinking fast as soon as its plugged in. Pressing the power button does nothing, pressing the reset appears to run it through the same routine as plugging it in. At least it sounds that way.
I purchased a service manual and to trouble shoot I’ve done the following:
Verified the power supply that supplies the 370 Vdc to the lamp power board present at the correct point.
Exchanged the lamp with a supposed good one. When the lamp was removed I did get the correct “defective lamp” indication at the lamp LED.
The svc manl says that if the 370 Vdc is is present going into the ‘lamp-sub-board’ and the lamp does not light to replace the board. My questions:
Is the “lamp-sub-board” dumb board? Meaning just put power to the input terminals and it fires the lamp?

Hello! I have a Mitsubishi WD52528 52″ Projection TV. When i turned it on just now I get no video. The screen turns a a dark black, but brighter than when it is off. However I still get sound out of the TX, and all the functions seem to be working from what I can tell as well. Whats wrong? How much will this cost to fix? Any trouble shooting idea?
Thanks!
