this projection tv when turned on has sound and a very dark picture, I opened the back of the tv to have a look, noticed that only the blue and the green projection tubes were working, not the red? everything looks to be in tact with no physical damage. what could I do to correct the problem. Im quite knowledgeable with a volt and ohm meter. what are some things I could check. I thought about the hv splitter, but im unsure if that is my first thing to look at, or even how to check it. please help.

i have my HD converter box connected to it, ie; regular antenna. I am thinking that the red tube is’nt powering on, when I first turned the tv on only the blue was working, then after a few minites I noticed the green (center) tube satarted to work.

I have a sony Grand Wega LCD projection tv, pn# KF-50WE610. I think it uses lamp part number XL-2100u. For some reason I was thinking that there were 2 lamps that needed to be replaced, one on each lower side. Can someone please tell me for sure wether it takes one lamp or two? I have two DLP TV’s both leave the lamp on for about 5 seconds after the picture is turned off. Surely the DLP chip could survive being turned off after the major heat source is.
