50″ Sony LCD projection TV LCD lamp burnt out-NEED HELP!?

Hi we have a 50″ 2004 Sony LCD Projection TV and we were told that we need a new LCD Lamp…can someone please tell me where I can get a good deal on these? And if someone else has replaced one themselves…or if we can even do so? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello people I have a 52″ rca projection tv, but lately my problem with the tv is Im getting distortion image and a 3 lines from side to side blue, green and red, somebody can tell me if this problem is the lamps or may be some fuse.

Help with tv trouble.?

I believe what I have is a rear projection tv, im bad in the tv lingo. I’ve had it for almost 3 years its a magnavox 51 inch. All of a sudden the picture looked in double vision, a tech came said the lamp colour red has burned out and put a paper to cover it, so its watchable but the red colour is gone, which makes the photo dell. To fix will be 400. I am a single parent and I really cant afford right now to purchase a new one. I’d be looking at at least 1000 for a plasma this size (I dont want smaller) plus the stand, delivery etc would run me to over 1500. I want to know if this is a common problem and if it is too risky for me to have to repaired. i dont want to pay this money and then have the problem again a year from now, they only guarantee the work for 3 months. I know you will say a flat screen for 1000 is much better but please keep in mind the money restriant that I have . Any input would be appreciated thanks.
what is dlp is that a plasma or lcd? if they burn out in a year than wouldnt it be better for me to keep the one i have. The picture quality is fine for me but i am really stuck on getting it fixed for 400 the colours. THe answers im looking for is if I do get this repaired does this solve the problem and how long does it really last. I would be very upset to spend 400 to fix it and then next year or the year after i have to do it again. But with buying plasmas (I cannot afford lcd) do they have the same issue? my mother has her big screen projection tv for over 10 years and never had to change any bulbs or any repair.

Help! i’m trying to check wich resisters are bad on my tv.?

recently i asked you guys about my 57 in. sony projection tv, my budy took the red lense off and spilled glyconol all over the board, also the tv is bowed at the bottom about 6 in, not the top though. well i cleaned all the glyconol off, i got the tv to turn on by unpluging the red lamp circuit and plugging it back in, sometimes the tv will still turn off, i know it is because the safty feature, more then likey to little or too much amps, im sure some resisters went bad. now last question guys.. i hope.. i cant afford to pay to fix this thing, and i dont know much about fuses and resistors and such, heck i dont even know what they look like, but i baught a voltage regulator and a soldering gun, so i need to find out what to look for, and how to test if its good or bad, and where to get the parts, can anyone help???

Mitsubishi Projector tv model: WD52527 trouble…can someone help me?

I have a mitsubishi projection tv model: WD 52527. It has not been working for a while. Whenever we turn on the tv, it would sound like it is starting…then it would proceed to the flashing of “timer” light…and then it would shut off completely. We’ve also replaced the lamp already. Please assist me on this problem.
The problem started a while after the lamp was replaced. We were able to watch it after the new lamp was replaced but for some reason this problem started.

73″ Mitsubishi WD-73734 and XBOX360 using HDMI? The TV is still brand new just got it 11/20/07...

sony service says to unplug it and plug it back!! R U kidding?? like its that easy!!! cant be the lamp right? or else no picture would show up!!! and the red service light only went off once…i need some help because doing research on the internet got nowhere.

jvc projection tv problems need help.?

I changed the lamp to the tv already. It worked for 3months now it is doing the same thing. I already rechecked the lamp and it is stil ok. It will try to power on but the power and lamp button flickers really fast then shuts off. When the tv powers on there seems to be a switching/flickering noise coming from the inside also. Can anyone help?
