Best Projection TVs

I use my HDMI cord for my PS3 and want to use it to record TV shows from my Laptop that has Windows Vista program where you can record TV shows. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!!!
My next question is how am I gonna see what is on my laptop on my TV?

The TV is still brand new just got it 11/20/07 the XBOX a week before. I hooked it up using the Belkin HDMI cable and it worked for awhile but then I experience what looks like railroad track pixels in the text on my 360. I bought the $50 Microsoft 360 cable and it fixed the problem only now it is happening again. I switched to my DVD player which uses a Rocket HDMI cable and it was doing the same thing. The TV is LCD Rear Projection 1080p with DLP. My guess is something is wrong with the TV because when I use the component cables it plays fine every time or is there something wrong with HDMI they are not telling us.

I have a 360 with the HD AV cables. The red, white, green, blue, and red cables. If I had a 360 with a HDMI port and used a HDMI cable would the difference in graphics be noticable? Is it worth it? And also would I be better suited to buy a top of the line HDMI cable from a store like Best Buy then to use the one that comes with the XBox 360?

What is the picture quality with the HD AV cables vs HDMI? What I mean is are the HD AV cables 720p and the HDMI cable 1080i? I have a 1080p TV so was wondering what the difference is in projection on the TV between the two cables?

What the different from a 26 dollars one to a 60 or 50 dollars one i see alot cables on ebay very cheap is there any difference between the cables is cause i need one for tv to HD receiver and another for playstation 3 to the tv i have a 55 sxrd 1080p projection HDTV kds55a2000 which one do you recommend.

i recently had my lamp replaced on my projection jvc 52″ tv and when it was returned the hdmi ports are now not working, what can be done to resolve this? i dont have the original remote i am using the remote for my satelite tv and the instructions found on the jvc website are not very helpful

I have a Sony up-convert to full 1080p dvd player with HDMI. A Panasonic 56″ full 1080p rear projection tv with HDMI and I have an HDMI connector going from the dvd player to the tv. My question is do I need an HDMI receiver to go along with the other two? I have surround sound to go along with everything but the receiver I am using now is about 5 years old and does not have an HDMI input. o I need a new one? Thanks in advance for the help.

I have a Asus CPU hooked to my Hitachi CRT projection via an HDMI cable. I want to send the audio from the TV to an LG Surround System. The problem is…I have to run a Red/White cord from the “Audio Out to Hi-Fi” to the Component……its not working…is the HDMI overriding it? Ive tried all the different possibilities and still i get nothing….HELP PLEASE

I have a Sony 1080p WEGA Projection TV, and I want to connect an HDMI cable between the TV and my PS3. I go to the display settings and try to use HDMI, but the screen goes blank and returns to the standard settings. I know I probably have to turn on the HDMI cable, but I have no idea how to do this. I’m presuming it is through the TV. Does anyone know how, and maybe specifically with Sony TV’s?

I have my ps3 hooked up to a pretty old 48″ jvc “projection hdtv” via a Sony hdmi. The video quality of games looks great and movies just look normal.
But the problem is that whenever I play games, this transparent “glitch like” line appears across my whole screen and I know its a problem wid the hdmi connection cause it never happened before.

I also tried a different dynex cable and the same thing happened.
My tv is around 4 years old and hdmi was new back then, also I have no 1080p or 720p display on my tv.
is their a solution for that line?

…dvd’s. how do i fix this?
the only hdmi ports are on my direct tv hdtv box and the back of my projection screen tv. so the hdmi cord is connected directly from the box to the tv, while the dvd player is running directly to the tv. and since they installed the hdtv box there is a mess of confusion of hd cables and the regular white yellow and red i am used to. obviously this is not my forte…help!
