Need to get an old style projection TV into my house.?
I need to get an old projection TV into my home. It’s actually an arcade machine with a projection screen & I need to lay it on its side. Is this safe for the lamps inside? My doors aren’t wide enough so I’m going to need to lay it on it’s side in order to get it into the house. I’m just wanting to make sure it’s safe for the lamps.

The only problem with laying a projection tv on it’s side is alignment of the tubes. You may have to do a reconvergence after moving it. Most TV’s have software convergence, but an arcade machine may be a different story.
In most cases arcade type large screens are okay to lay down, but still don’t jar. After relocated open and check all connections, wires come loose in moves. If alignment is off a call to the local TV repair shop is your best bet. cost is around $100.
