My Tv is Dim. Its a 51″ Stereo projection Tv Panasonic Model Number #PT-51G53. Bulb/CRT? needs replaced??

Can I replace this myself ?
Does anyone know where I can find Directions on how to do this?
Web site with cheap parts?

    No, you can’t. It’s difficult for someone who has the training and experience. Even with that, it’s difficult to get the picture as good as the factory, in many cases, after the tubes have been changed. Virtually impossible, even for the most gifted do-it-yourselfer.

    That being said, I don’t think the dim picture is from bad CRTs. Panasonic makes pretty good tubes and they usually last close to 10 years with average use. It may just need an adjustment or “tune-up”. If you’ve been using it “heavily” say, more than 8 hours a day, then you could have worn out CRTs.
