The problem you might have is with the lamp to you DLP TV. This lamp may be burned out which can be replaced. The cost of these light bulbs vary, but are usually around $200+. If you have the owners manual for this TV it should say what a particular series of lights mean on your set when a problem exists. My DLP’s have two lights on the front panel, one when it’s off, (red) and one when it’s on (green). After shutting the TV off, the green lights blinks on and off telling me that the fan is cooling the bulb off and not to turn the set back on until the blinking green light shuts off. If both of the lights are on, with one light or the other blinking then it could mean that the set is re-setting itself, which could mean a bad bulb or another problem. It’s all a safety feature set up that way. That’s the problem with DLP’s. If you fix the problem and it is the bulb, go to your main menu on your TV; find your ‘picture’ quality option. If you have the ability to change your picture quality brighness or intensity, use the cool setting, or a low bulb useage setting. Your projection bulb could last a bit longer by not having to be on so intensly and running hot. I know all of this from my experience with Toshiba 48” DLP’s. They’re junk! We purchased four of them about 3 years ago and every one of them needed new bulbs. All of them went bad. My daughters Toshiba TV was so bad, they replaced it with a new 52″ TV. There’s a class action law suit for this. Maybe you can blog this topic to see what else samsung has going on regarding problems. They could fix your problem providing many others are experiencing the same thing. Good luck.
