buy a new one! or use viniger it breaks down wax
I would try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I havent come across something I couldnt get off with that thing (INCLUDING permanent marker). It’s awesome.
Mr Clean Magic Eraser works like you wouldn’t believe on crayon. Don’t put very much water on a corner of the pad which you should cut in half. ie turn on the tap and just touch the corner of the pad to the running water. That’s enough. Use it like a pencil eraser.
I agree with annette about magic eraser!
use Mr. Clean Magic eraser it also works on walls and stuff if that doesn’t work you can try some alcohol because it dries quickly but only use a little but try the eraser first.
WINDEX
I know that WD-40 takes crayons off, however i don’t know if it’s safe on the TV surface… Should be safe if it’s glass.
With a magic eraser by mr. clean
they really work and they are awesome!!!
Try toothpaste, (Not the gel one) it was on how clean is your house, it worked on everything that they tried. they didn’t try it on a t v but it should be o.k. it combats against wax
OK I’m going to WARN you about a couple things……
I have the Mr Clean Magic Eraser…..IT IS ABRASIVE! On a clear plastic piece it could very well HAZE THE PLASTIC. (Use this only as a LAST RESORT, ok?)
First, try the Windex….Don’t SCRUB…always use a soft Terry Cloth (clean dish towel) or a MicroFiber Cloth….NO SCOTCH PADS!!
Next, Try the WD-40 with a soft cloth, THEN Wash off the WD-40 with alcohol……
You might try an ORANGE cleaner/degreaser if the WD-40 doesn’t work, but it is the most effective crayon cleaner.
I don’t think Toothpaste will work on crayons at all…..
DO NOT USE KEROSENE OR GASOLINE IF ANYBODY SUGGESTS IT….NOR NAIL POLISH REMOVER OR TOLUENE!!! They will MELT that $400.00 screen!!!
Always start out gentle with any chemical compounds…
NOW if this screen is grooved…and not flat, like screen protectors are….YOU MIGHT try a VERY SOFT toothbrush to get into the grooves with WD-40. But be aware those black lines in the grooves are painted on….and you may lose the paint….It may affect the way the TV looks when turned off, but it will NOT affect the picture quality when turned on…..
