I want to know if it is anyway possible to hook up car audio to my tv?

I have a new Sony 50″ LCD rear projection tv and i was wondering if it was anyway possible to hook up car audio as a sround sound system, or even just hook up a car subwoofer to the tv?

It’s not at all easy to run a 12V system on 120V power. And no, a little 12V DC power brick will not work. The most effective route would be to connect the whole thing to a 120V car battery charger and a car battery. That also happens to be the most dangerous and biggest fire hazzard method.

Yes you can hook up the subs, woofers, and any car speakers for that matter to a home system, as long as the specs meet. but you can’t hook up a car amplifier to power source. too much money to work it all out, and it would be cheaper to buy a receiver, or amplifier. If you hook up the sub to the TV, make sure you get a home amplifier or receiver though. a TV RF amplifier is not gonna be big enough to power a bulky heavy car sub woofer on its own.
