I need to know about projection tvs, i think my lamp is going but I have no idea!!!?
I have a mitsubishi projection tv and i can watch it for about a hour give or take some time…..then it just shuts off on me then a red light blinks above the lamp……?? whats going on is it really the lamp or is my tv junk??

When a lamp goes bad the first symptoms is it will work for awhile then shut off. The time it will work will shorten until it won’t work anymore. Also it will be very hard to start up if it is hot. I really think you have a bad lamp. These lamps usually last a year or two dependent upon usage. Also, don’t buy a cheap version off the web, make sure that it’s a mitsubishi original lamp. I’ve seen the cheap ones go bad in a month and others not make it a day.
