I bought this tv…?
I bought a Sony Bravia 46″ 1080p LCD HDTV w/ 16,000:1 Contrast Ratio, 3 HDMI inputs, and other stuff along with a 5YR Warranty totaling $3,000. Right now I’ve been watching TV on like a 52″ SD Projection TV. Do you think there will be that noticeable of a difference? Did I make a good investment?
I still haven’t brought it home from the store yet…

You won’t want my opinion. I think you’re going to be disappointed with the smaller size.
Buying a TV for the numbers is the same as buying a car for the same reason. Why would I need a Maserati that can do 185 mph?
The contrast ratio is measured in total darkness. Turn on any of your room lights and watch it dump down to 800:1. 1080p means that it draws a frame of video twice as fast as 1080i. Unfortunately, it holds onto it twice as long, so the net result is zero difference.
The question is, are YOU happy with it? For $3,000, I hope so. Then it doesn’t matter what I say.
Yes very good investment. When watching HD content, its going to blow you away in clarity, sharpness, vividness.
That must be either the V series or the W series.
