bought a mitsubishi 57″ hdtv instead of wega 55″ right decision or not?
went and finally talked my wife into buying a new hd tv. i got it to 2 sets the sony 55″ lcd projection wega, or the 57 ” mitsu dlp projection. after the deliberation i went with mitsubishi because of the over all sharper picture and the little bigger screen. now im not disappointed at all in my tv, ive had it two weeks and i think it puts out beautiful picture , but my question to u guys is is the tv i bought a better tv than the sony i mentioned before? im not very familiar with the dlp vs. sxrd technology and really dont know which one is better and more durable. ive also heard that the mitsu is not really a full” 1080p! resolution. please help me guys and let me know if i made a bad decision or not i still have time to fix it if the sony is a better tv in the long haul???? the model no. for the sony tv is KDS55A2000 and the model for the tv i bought is WD-57731 if anyone needs that info the model no. for the mitsu is in the title thanks guys

WRONG!
I would have went with the Sony
I don’t like projection TVs, but if I had to pick between a Sony anything and a Mitsubishi anything, I would pick the Sony every time because they are designed better. That’s not to say Mitsus don’t work well… they work fine. They’re just a pain to work on when they break. Factory support is the pits, parts availability is horrible, and they’re not very serviceable. On a positive note, DLP technology is potentially more reliable than LCD (projection) technology. The main thing is that you’re happy with the picture. And as long as you don’t need it fixed, you’ll do just fine.
They are both very good units.
Sony
Toshiba
Mitsubishi
Hitachi
Pioneer Elite
are the top quality units.
