Are Sony LCD Rear Projection TV’s Good?

i saw one at best buy on open box. it was originally $2200 and they only won’t $800. it also has 1080p, 3 hdmi inputs, and 120hz motionflow. it also has a response time of 2.5. it is model number KDS-55A3000

    if it works it is a great deal. But rear projections are big and LCD is becoming the way. So you are looking at buying what they call a “white elephant”. So if you have the room, a way to get it home and 800 dollars, yes.

    yes they are very good quality. i bought a 60″ Sony 1080p XBR2 lcd rear projection last august for only $2500. the picture quality is superb and it is a great value. i have not had any problems with it so far. it also came with a free replacement bulb which is worht about $150.
    so yes u should get that open box tv cuz it is almost as good as the one i have and the response time is even better. its a great buy!

    If it was a display model be careful of projection T.V’s. Be sure to get an extended warranty. Due to the price of the blue, red and green bulbs that make the picture project onto the back side of the screen can be very expensive. Check that the warranty will cover it…
