Anyone know of a good alternative replacement for a projection tv screen other then paying $500 a new one?

I have already tried using wax paper and a bed sheet as a screen, but i was wondering if anyone else has found better solution. the original screens were kicked in during a break in.

Yes take the top off the cabnet and measure where the plastic goes then go to a glass shop and get a peice of plexy glass and slide it in and put the top back on $30.Or give me the model# and make and i can get you a price.

I figure your not talking about the clear protective one but the inner screen (well on some TVs it’s the only one). Yeah they are terribly expensive.

Check around at the repair shops to see if someone has the same TV as an abandoned set because of the cost of repair, be aware though the shop knows what they have if they are willing to part it out, so if will same some but not a lot. Check Flea markets, you may find a set that’s in very poor shape that you can part out. Next consider sets in these same categories but the screen is too large.

The best deal you can probably find is a dealer who hauls off the trade in’s actually he just sets them out for the scavengers, or dump guys to pick up.
