A lil’ TV help………..?
Looking at 50″ Sony Grand Wega LCD Projetion HDTV and a Samsung 50″ DLP Projection HDTV. The differences that I seen in them, is of course, the different technologies (DLP and LCD), the resolution (Sony-720p Samsung-1080p) and the price difference (Sony-1499 Samsung-1799). Its looks to me that the resolution is lower, therfore the t.v. is lower in price, but is there really that , much difference when your watching it? Also, is the DLP technnology that much better than an LCD t.v.?

Yes you will see the diffence between 720 and 1080.
Now what it really comes down to, its the brand. Sony is a well known company, and have been know to to long lasting quality TVs with the best picture.
Samsung isnt known for that at all. I wouldnt get a samsung, they are known for trouble, also they have problems with their DLP units, actually just about all of their units.
For a DLP, go with Toshiba, you can get a 1080p DLPw/dual HDMI 62″ for $1800! at tigerdirect.com
The DLP stands for Digital Line Processing which means that every other little tiny line is alternating back and forth to fast for us to see but I creates a smoother picture which is much easier on the eyes as well. Sony and Samsung are both great brands but on this I would go with the Samsung.
