73″ Mitsubishi WD-73734 and XBOX360 using HDMI?
The TV is still brand new just got it 11/20/07 the XBOX a week before. I hooked it up using the Belkin HDMI cable and it worked for awhile but then I experience what looks like railroad track pixels in the text on my 360. I bought the $50 Microsoft 360 cable and it fixed the problem only now it is happening again. I switched to my DVD player which uses a Rocket HDMI cable and it was doing the same thing. The TV is LCD Rear Projection 1080p with DLP. My guess is something is wrong with the TV because when I use the component cables it plays fine every time or is there something wrong with HDMI they are not telling us.

its the HDMi 4 sure ^^
HDMI connections are pretty fragile unfortunately….and your problem MIGHT be due to the weight of the cables that you are using….they should be lightweight and not heavy.
The weight can cause the connector to sit at an angle and make a poor connection. So you might want to LEVEL OUT the connection to see if the problem goes away.
IF SO then…..

Get some of the HDMI 1.3a cables listed…..they’re lightweight.
One other possibility is the X Box’s Texting protocols are at a lower resolution and it can create stairstep style texting with C’s and O’s and B’s etc….
If there is a problem with the TV set you will know for sure by running these tests…..
Whats it doing? Also, take your cables to a friends house and see if they work on another TV…thats a quick easy test..
